Skills minister in Coventry to discuss future of manufacturing

Government minister visits Coventry engineering firms Skills and enterprise minister Matthew Hancock will meet Coventry firms today to discuss the future of manufacturing and engineering. The MP visited Exhall based ADV Group , to attend a skills summit. Mr Hancock was joined by North Warwickshire MP Dan Byles, ADV’s senior management team and a select group of automotive and engineering firms – including Jaguar Land Rover, Sertec, BMW, Premier Group and MCS Control Systems – to discuss a range of industry issues.

The summit, which took place during National Apprenticeship Week, featured a round table discussion focused on the apprenticeship schemes and skills development opportunities available in the Midlands manufacturing and engineering sector.
